Useful when infections have no symptoms
Many STIs can occur without noticeable symptoms. Testing can help identify infections that may require treatment or further assessment.
Important to know
No single STI package tests for every sexually transmitted infection. The tests you need and the appropriate timing depend on your sexual history, symptoms, sites of sexual contact, and when a possible exposure occurred.
HSV IgG testing indicates antibodies from previous infection or exposure and does not determine whether you currently have an active herpes outbreak. Routine herpes blood screening is not recommended for most people without symptoms, so discuss with your healthcare provider whether HSV testing is appropriate for you.
